My backfence neighbor and friend has 2 girls, and the youngest attends the John Hanson Montessori School in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
Basically the kids wrote a 200 word essay and won $500 and a chance to compete for the 20K. I am cheering them on!
Help them win a $20,000 grant for their school. see below:

to compete for a $20,000. grant to help our Green School. We are the only school in Maryland competing.

John Hanson Montessori School located in Oxon Hill, Maryland is a Prince George's County Public School.

The John Hanson Montessori Green Team received a $500 gift card from Walmart as the first round of applying for a grant.
We wrote 200 words Re: Our Green School at John Hanson and we were selected as one of 20 schools nationwide to compete for a $20,000 grand prize. The Green Team put together a video describing the schools many efforts to protect the environment. The video is a real testimony to the hard work everyone has done and to the great school community we have at John Hanson!!!!!
