So, the Kinky Kristmas reveals went up this afternoon! I had an absolute blast running it. I'm so proud of the amazing collection of fic and art everyone put together, and I'm both relieved and sad to see the month end.

Extra special thanks to leela_cat for writing a (completely fantastic!) bonus fic for me, which I totally did not ask her to do, OMG! And to nehalenia for picking up my prompt when it was dropped and for... well, for knowing all of my bullet-proof kinks. ::dies all over again::

I've also had fun the last couple of days checking out the reveals at hp_yule_balls, smutty_claus, and lupin_snape's Snupin Santa. Between those fests and Kinky Kristmas, my fellow mods and I are putting together a nice list of people we'd like to invite to daily_deviant soon. :)

Notes/Warnings: Kinda songfic-ish. I was listening to Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight", and it just screamed at me to write this. As if the Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot triangle wasn't bad enough, I had to go and toss Mordred into the mix, too. Like my last fic, this takes place in TKR-canon, but is not (entirely) canon to TKR. This is un-beta'd.

Okay, so the crux of this post started off with noeon sending me a photograph of Matt Smith this morning. The next thing I knew, I'd downloaded over 60 pictures from Google Image Search and had decided to do a Matt Smith picspam.

I love Matt Smith. I've loved him since I saw him in Party Animals, and when it was announced over a year ago that he was going to come on to Doctor Who as the Eleventh Doctor, I nearly died of utter and complete GLEE. He is adorable, and an phenomenal actor and I have absolutely no doubt he's going to be a unbelieveably awesome Doctor. I know a lot of people don't really know much about him, so let me introduce to him to you. I'm hoping you end up adoring him as much as I do.

Oh, and I should say that to the very, very best of my knowledge, there are no spoilery photos for Doctor Who in this picspam. I deliberately stayed far, far, far away from those particular photographs. There is one publicity photo from a year ago when the announcement for the Eleventh Doctor was made and one more recent photo of Matt with his new companion and a fan, but from what I can tell they're wearing their own clothes, not Doctor Who costumes. (I recognize the scarf Matt's wearing in the photo as his own. *g*) So if you're avoiding Who spoilers, you should be safe here.

Did anyone else notice in this shot from the Spinner's End scene in the HBP film that the wand sitting next to Severus is not his own? At least, it's not the one he's normally got (see for example the opal necklace bit, for comparison). I wonder whose it is and/or why it's there? It's possible it's a spare (hmmm... for what purpose? plotbunny ahoy?) just ready to hand, but I'd think he would be keeping a wand in use, even if not his normal one, on his person. Are we meant to think he's confiscated Peter's, maybe?

I always thought Dou had the most awesome mutant power ever. Whenever anyone asks what power would I want, I always think of his. Yes, it's not that great in the realm of action packed comics, but in the real world, how much would it rock to be able to understand *any* language (human or not)

My most precious ones,

yesterday, I got a much needed haircut, and it was quite revitalizing... My hair is now almost all one length, without any layering; the last inch is feathered.

A few months ago, I acquired a little Cybershot camera (the whatever-it-was I had been using since around 2004 finally gave up the ghost), and earlier this afternoon I learned how to use the timer function. A first.

Hence, photos.

Here is what I frequently look like these days:



My inner state is often a combination of tiredness, prayerfulness, fearfulness, contemplativeness. I feel grateful, apprehensive, peaceful, overwhelmed all at once. I feel an efficient strength in the midst of weakness; I feel like a fumbling yet experienced novice. In the evenings, I pray a lot. Last night, I was gazing upon a large crucifix and holding it against my heart whilst listening to sacred music, and I was greatly upheld. I kept whispering, "Remember me when You come into Your kingdom; grant that where You are, I may be also."



The hair looks nice, though, eh? I had breakfast with my mother today, and she loved the sleek black locks I am currently sporting.



Here, a little smile. I am sitting on the "Slytherin" blanket a loved one crocheted for me. It is blessedly snug when I nap.

I shall be submitting my papers to the Infinitus organizers soon, and asking about the whole book signing, um, procedure... I have been delaying this. I am slightly reticent, I am not sure why. I shall also be booking my flight before the month is over.

There are thirteen days left before the end of my Goodreads giveaway for three copies of The flawed master, and already close to six hundred kind souls have entered. I am... Well, at a loss.
